Tubers and Bulbs

Ah tubers and bulbs…where to begin?

My dahlia tubers live in sawdust and cardboard boxes over winter.  Early spring, dahlias are divided and replanted.  All spring and summer the tubers grow, producing more tubers and lots of flowers.  Tubers are dug up around the first frost, late fall.  Then tossed back in their boxes and sawdust until spring. 

In 2024, around 60 dahlias were planted. 

As of April 2025, 70 dahlia tubers have been planted!  So excited for the flowers in a few months. 

Extra dahlia tubers are available.  

Crocosmia bulbs will be ready in fall.
